Interconnecting MIDI between iOS devices or between iOS and OSX has been a persistent challenge. Apollo solves this by enabling MIDI transmission over Bluetooth LE wireless connections, eliminating the need for bulky hardware adapters and reducing latency compared to WiFi. The use of Bluetooth LE is supported by various Apple devices like iPad3 and newer, iPad Mini, iPhone 4s and newer, and recent Mac desktops and laptops.

Install Apollo on two iOS devices, designate one as endpoint "A" and the other as endpoint "B", press search on both devices to establish a Bluetooth connection. Once connected, MIDI messages sent to Apollo on one device can be forwarded to the other device and redirected to synthesizer or sequencer apps.

Aside from iOS devices, Apollo can connect to Mac desktops and laptops. Recent iMacs and MacBooks support Bluetooth LE while older Macs may require a USB Bluetooth adapter. The OSX version of Apollo is free and accessible in the Mac App Store.
